Three New Suspects Taken into Custody in Boston Marathon Bombing Case

Three new suspects in the Boston Marathon bombing case have been taken into custody, the city’s police department announced Wednesday morning.
From their official Twitter account, the Boston Police Department confirmed just after 11 a.m. local time that three suspects have been detained by authorities in regards to the terrorist attack earlier this month.
According to a police source speaking anonymously with the Boston Globe, the three latest suspects are area college students who attended the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old accused bomber who could face the death penalty of convinced for his alleged role in the marathon bombing. A source speaking to NBC alleged that the suspects were all roommates of Tsarnaev at UMass-Dartmouth, although police have failed to confirm this report.

Nineteen-year-old University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth college students Azamat Tazhayakov, Dias Kadyrbayev and Robel Phillipos have been accused of interfering with a federal probe into the April 15, 2013 terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon.
Authorities unsealed a criminal complaint against the men Wednesday afternoon and they were arraigned during 3:30 p.m. hearing in a Massachusetts courthouse. The Boston Globe reported that attorneys for the men waived bail and will remain in detention until arguments begin later this month.
Investigators say the three students were classmates of suspected bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, also 19, and attempted to hinder an investigation by destroying evidence they uncovered from his UMass-Dartmouth dormitory room three days after the marathon bombing.
All three have admitted on that on the evening of April 18, 2013, they removed Tsarnaev’s backpack from Tsarnaev’s dormitory room,” reads the complaint. Kadyrbayev and Tazhayakov, both Kazakhstan nationals, “have admitted that they agreed to get rid of it after concluding from news reports that Tsarnaev was one of the Boston Marathon bombers,” it continues.
The two Kazakhstan citizens were in the US on student visas and were apprehended by authorities over a week ago for alleged immigration violations; they have been accused of hiding evidence. Authorities have identified Phillipos as a US citizen who was also enrolled at Dartmouth and he is accused of making false statements to the FBI.
According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation complaint unsealed this week, the three students first considered their classmate as a possible suspect in the bombing after the FBI released images on April 18 of two men sought in connection to the blasts. Authorities later identified the two men as ethnic Chechens: Dzhokhar and his 26-year-old brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Approximately four hours after photos of the Tsarnaev brothers first began to be widely circulated on the afternoon of April 18, the FBI says Phillipos told Kadyrbayev to put on the news when he got home “because one of the suspects in the Marathon bombing suspect looked familiar. Once he turned on the TV, Kadyrbayev texted Tazhayakov’s cell phone to ask, “Have you seen the news?” Shortly after, the complaint continues, Kadyrbayev, Tazhayakov and Phillipos went to Tsarnaev’s Dartmouth dorm room and were let in by a roommate. There they stayed for a considerable amount of time watching a movie and eventually made contact with the 19-year-old suspect.
A police source speaking to the Globe said authorities believe two of the suspects may have helped he accused bomber after the April 15 terrorist attack and are expected to be charged with obstruction of justice and making false statements.
A detain police statement is still forthcoming, but before 12 noon on Wednesday the department tweeted that there is no threat to public safety at this time in regards to the attack.
Tsarnaev was apprehended by police days after the attack and has been charged with using a weapon of mass destruction. His brother, 26-year-old Tamerlan Tsarnaev, is also believed to have detonated improvised explosives at the Boston Marathon earlier this month but died days later after engaging in a gun fight with police. Three people and more than 260 were injured during the April 15 tragedy.

What appear to be private contractors, wearing unmarked, matching uniforms and operating an unmarked SUV affixed with communication equipment near the finish line of the Boston Marathon shortly after the bomb blasts - can be seen beforehand, standing and waiting just meters away from where the first bomb was detonated. The contractor-types had moved away from the bomb's location before it detonated, and could be seen just across the street using communication equipment and waiting for similar dressed and equipped individuals to show up after the blasts.

Image: An already widely distributed photo showing the contractor-types on the bottom left, just left of where the bomb was placed and detonated. The men are wearing matching, unmarked uniforms, large black bags, and appear to be waiting, separately, and "behind" the rest of the crowd. In the upper left corner, a wooden structure forming one half of a temporary photography "bridge" over the finish line can be seen and serves as a useful reference when establishing the contractor-types' position in other photos.
After_BombBlast_Across_Street1 (1)
Image: After the explosion, two of the contractors seen by the wall next to the bomb, appear across the street, both using communication equipment. This photo too has been distributed and enlarged many times across the Internet.

TearUpBleachers
Image: Event staff and contractors both above and below the bleachers begin tearing up the skirting and appear to be looking for something or retrieving something while casualties are still being treated and evacuated across the street.
The men, numbering between 6-8 then begin tearing up the skirting around temporary bleachers erected for the event, opposite the explosion, before taping it off. Then, what appears to be an FBI bomb squad truck pulls up directly behind the contractor-types' SUV, with a woman clearly wearing the letters F.B.I. on her tactical vest emerging and speaking with the contractor-types. Together they disappear from the scene, leaving their vehicles behind.

Image: What appears to be an FBI bomb squad truck pulls in,  with a woman wearing what is clearly the letters F.B.I. on her vest. She talks with two contractors while it appears a third is partially in the truck's right-hand side. Also note that the area contractors and event staff tore up, is now taped off.
FBI_Contractors_Disappear (1)
Image: The FBI truck and contractor SUV sit seemingly abandoned - neither the FBI agent, nor the contractors can be seen. What they did, or where they went remains so far, unknown.

It should be noted, that with the exception of the contractor-types, all other responders at the scene, including the FBI agent, can be clearly identified, from police to the fire department, to medics and even individuals wearing vests with "B.A.A. Physician" written on them. It should also be noted that no other uniformed individuals can be seen standing near the bomb site aside from the contractor-types.
These men were unidentified, professional contractors apparently augmenting public servants at the Boston Marathon, present before and after the bomb blasts in the direct vicinity of the incident. After the blasts, whether it was their intended function or not, they appeared to be searching for something under the bleachers before being joined by what appears to be the FBI bomb squad. The FBI and the city of Boston has so far categorically failed to provide any information on these highly suspicious individuals.
Questions That Must be Answered
Several questions must be answered by the FBI, leading the investigation on behalf of we, the American people. The first question is who these men were, with large, black bags in the direct vicinity of where a bomb would detonate, moving away before the blast, and appearing directly across the road afterward. Who hired them and what was their function? Why were they moving amongst the crowd in a semi-covert fashion when all other public servants present were wearing proper uniforms and clearly identified? Did police, firefighters, event organizers, and medics know these men were present and what they were doing?
Why did it appear that the FBI was fully aware of their presence, and in fact working with them, specifically with what looks like a bomb squad unit? Were these contractors specialists in explosives, and if so, what is the significance that at least two of them were spotted just meters from where the blast occurred?

Why These Questions Demand Answers
The checkered, frightening history (see: FBI's History of Handing "Terror Suspects" Live Explosives) of the FBI's involvement in fomenting false terror attacks, and even presiding over attacks that succeeded in maiming and killing innocent people, should call into question their presence or involvement at any public event, especially when seen associating with unidentified, semi-clandestine organizations that appear to be private contractors.
Private contractors as well, do not answer or work for the public, but rather the highest bidder. Private contractors, most notably Blackwater and its various incarnations have operated both domestically and abroad, committing obscene crimes and atrocities with seemingly absolute impunity. The term "defense contractor" is in fact a euphemism for mercenary, and has no place in a civilized, democratic world, no matter what their alleged mission statement may claim.
That both of these nefarious entities were present and cooperating in the direct vicinity of the Boston bombings, with at least two contractors standing just meters away from where the bomb actually went off, raises a number of possibilities and concerns. A drill may have been being conducted, though the FBI and city officials have denied this. Or, a threat may have been communicated to event organizers ahead of time, which prompted the inclusion of "auxiliary" security, though again, both the FBI and the city of Boston deny receiving any information prior to the bombings. Whichever contracting firm this may have been, may just have wanted to swindle Boston's taxpayers for an easy payday, and coincidentally found itself in the middle of extraordinary circumstances.
However, alarming suspicion is raised when the FBI makes no mention of an organization it was clearly coordinating with, particularly in terms of bombs and explosives before and after the incident, considering the nature of the attack. When an already dubious organization attempts to obfuscate the facts of any given event, it is the right and responsibility of legitimate law enforcement, public representatives and the citizenry itself to demand and get answers. If we are not persistent, with the FBI's bizarre behavior over the past few days, including inexplicably cancelled and suspiciously rushed press conferences, and now what appears to be a Hollywood ending for the case, we may never get those answers.

Boston Marathon bomber manhunt: Police nab suspect alive

A police officer stands guard at the scene where bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was apprehended. (AP)you can see the video here: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/lookout/boston-mit-shooting-explosion-suspect-watertown-064355149.html

[Updated at 10:18 p.m. ET]
BOSTON—Police have nabbed the 19-year-old suspected Boston Marathon bomber, after a day-long manhunt that completely shut down the city of Boston and several suburbs and left one police officer dead. Some Bostonians flooded into the streets cheered the news, celebrating an end to five days of fear since the bombs wounded more than 175 people and killed three.
An ambulance arrived at the scene to take the wounded suspect, Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev, to a hospital. Massachusetts State Police Col. Timothy Alben said he is in serious condition.
Tsarnaev was found in a boat in the yard of a home on Franklin Street, close to where he and his older brother engaged in a shootout with police nearly 24 hours earlier. The homeowner discovered Tsarnaev when he saw blood on the outside of his boat and then lifted the tarp to find a person, covered in blood, inside. Police used a heat-detecting device on a helicopter to find out that he was still inside, and exchanged gun fire with the suspect for the next hour, before he was apprehended.
Watertown residents--finally able to leave their homes around 8:45 p.m.--broke into cheers and applauded police officers after word spread that the suspect was in custody.
"We're so grateful to bring justice and closure to this case," Alben said at a 9:30 p.m. press conference. "We're exhausted ... but we have a victory here tonight." Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis said he could find no explanation for the "savagery" of the attacks, but that the capture made him proud to be a Boston police officer.
"We've closed an important chapter in this tragedy," President Barack Obama said in brief remarks at the White House Friday night, noting there were still many unanswered questions about the Tsarnaevs' actions.
"Whatever they thought they could ultimately achieve, they failed," Obama said. Americans, he said, "refuse to be terrorized."

Just a few hours earlier, at 6:00 p.m ET, police announced that the 19-year-old suspected bomber had eluded capture after fleeing from police on foot early Friday morning.
Thousands of law enforcement officers conducted a nearly 24-hour door-to-door manhunt for Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who is suspected of helping his brother plant two bombs near the finish line at Monday's Boston Marathon that wounded more than 170 people and left three dead.
Officials announced at 6:00 p.m. news conference that they had been unable to apprehend the suspect, despite combing through a 20-block area of the Boston suburb of Watertown and shutting down the city's entire public transportation system in an effort to prevent him from fleeing. They said they did not know if he had a car, or if he was still on foot. The home where Tsarnaev was eventually discovered was outside the 20-block perimeter, and had not been searched.
Gov. Deval Patrick lifted his previous "shelter in place," or lockdown, order for the city of Boston and many surrounding areas of the city at 6:00 p.m.. But Patrick urged Bostonians to continue to be "vigilant" as the "very dangerous" armed suspect has not been apprehended.
An overnight police chase and shootout left Dzhokhar's 26-year-old brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev dead and Dzhokhar on the lam.
Federal investigators had released photos and videos of the two men hours earlier, showing them in the vicinity of the marathon finish line before the twin explosions. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was seen placing a backpack on the ground minutes before the blast, investigators said.
One MIT police officer was killed and another transit police officer seriously wounded during the violent spree. The city of Boston and its surrounding areas ground to a standstill for hours as police went door to door searching for the suspect in the suburb of Watertown.
Police said they had uncovered several improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Watertown and in the brothers' home in Cambridge.
Tsarnaev is a student at the University of Massachusetts-Dartmouth. The Tsarnaev family is originally from Chechnya, a volatile and once war-torn southern Russian republic. The family fled to Kyrgyzstan and eventually immigrated to the United States as refugees about 10 years ago.

Authorities gave no indication of what they might believe the brothers' motivations could have been in the crime.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev, the dead suspect, studied at a local community college and was a Golden Gloves boxer. He also reportedly had a wife and young child. The FBI questioned him two years ago at the request of the Russian government, but found nothing suspicious, according to the AP.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was remembered by former classmates as bright and personable, posted links to pro-Chechnyan independence sites on his social media page, and listed his "world view" as Islam.
Tsarnaev appeared to be posting to his Twitter account even after the marathon attacks, writing in his last post on Wednesday, "I'm a stress free kind of guy." His posts covered everything from cute photos of his cat to rap lyrics.
In an interview with The New York Times, the suspects' father said Tamerlan had been unable to become a U.S. citizen because he was arrested for hitting his girlfriend, and that he traveled to Russia last year to live for six months and renew his passport. Dzhokhar is a naturalized U.S. citizen.
The suspects' uncle, when told that one of his nephews was killed by the local CBS News station Friday afternoon, replied that he deserved it.
“He deserved his. He absolutely deserved his,” Ruslan Tsarni said. “They do not deserve to live on this earth.”

Later, in an emotional press conference outside his home in Maryland, Tsarni said his nephews had brought shame upon his family, and called them "losers." He speculated that they were not "able to settle themselves" and were "angry at everyone who was able to." He said he did not believe they were motivated by radical politics in Chechnya or religion.
He added that he hadn't been in touch with the family for several years but would not say why. Other family members, including an aunt and the brothers' father, said they did not believe the brothers could have planted bombs.
The University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth announced shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Friday that they were evacuating the entire campus after learning Tsarnaev is a registered student there. The suspect reportedly attended a party there on Wednesday night, two days after the bombing.
Earlier, at sunrise Friday, Gov. Patrick ordered a shutdown of all public transit and for residents in the city of Boston and on its edges to stay indoors. Amtrak also shut down all trains between Boston and New York.
Boston and the surrounding areas of Watertown, Waltham, Belmont, Cambridge, Newton, Allston and Brighton were placed on lockdown for most of Friday. A no-fly zone was declared over Watertown. The city of Boston was eerily quiet for much of the day, the city's busy intersections totally abandoned.
The mayhem began at approximately 10:20 p.m. Thursday in Cambridge when police said the bombing suspects shot and killed an MIT campus officer, Sean Collier, 26. Davis said that Collier was "assassinated" by the suspects while sitting in his cruiser. The terror suspects then carjacked a Mercedes-Benz SUV with the driver inside and fled, eventually letting the driver go unharmed.
The suspects were then spotted in Watertown, where federal agents swarmed in. At approximately 3:30 a.m., Massachusetts State

Police issued a plea on Twitter for residents of Watertown to lock their doors and not open them for anyone, as dozens of police officers, many of them off duty, searched backyards and exteriors of houses there, and a police perimeter of several blocks was established.
Worried residents were also told to turn off their cell phones out of fear that they could trigger improvised explosive devices.
The suspects exchanged dozens of rounds of gunfire with patrol officers, and lobbed IEDs out of their vehicle, injuring several officers.
Tamerlan Tsarnaev was shot by police and brought to Beth Israel Medical Center. He arrived at the hospital under cardiac arrest with multiple gunshot wounds and blast-like injuries to his chest. The second suspect fled on foot.
A transit police officer, Richard H. Donohue, was seriously wounded during the exchange of gunfire, officials said.
K9 units and SWAT teams searched homes on Spruce Street as officers with a police robot searched an SUV that the suspects had abandoned. Multiple devices were left in the road and two handguns were recovered, according to police scanners.
"We believe this to be a terrorist," said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis, of Tsarnaev. "We believe this to be a man who has come here to kill people. We need to get him into custody."
[Related: FBI releases photos of suspects in Boston Marathon bombings]
Police in Watertown, Newton, Brighton and Cambridge were put on high alert. "Units use caution," an officer said. "He might have an explosive object on his person."
Police were able to track down images of the suspects after a victim of the attacks, Jeff Bauman, came to them with a description, Bloomberg reported Thursday. Bauman's legs were torn apart by the bomb.

Photo surfaces of ‘The Craft’ Mobile Communications van at Boston Marathon

The_Craft_Communications_Van-600
A detailed, hi-res photo of more "The Craft" operatives and what appears to be their mobile communications van has just surfaced. "The Craft" is a group of private military operatives who have been revealed through a fast-growing number of photos published by Natural News and Info Wars.
The mainstream media is engaged in a total blackout and refuses to run any photos of "The Craft" operatives. This story is quickly becoming the biggest media cover-up in history.
Natural News was the first to identify the brand of the radiation detector being held in the hand of one "Craft" operatives. Now, we appear to be the first to run this photo of what looks to be an extremely high-end mobile communications van with seven more "Craft" operatives.
The van clearly has a foldable satellite dish as well as what is possibly a microwave communications dome. The vehicle is a Chevy Escalade that has been outfitted with hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of roof racks and communications equipment.

Note: We can't be 100% certain this vehicle belongs to The Craft team, but it fits their M.O. While all the other emergency vehicles on the scene are clearly marked, this vehicle is unmarked. The proximity of The Craft members to the van is also an indication that this vehicle may be a "rally point."
Here's the image:

IP satellite?
We may have identified the nature of the dish on the top of the vehicle. It closely resembles Quickspot IP satellite systems.

Here are some additional photos of "The Craft" operatives that the alternative media has spearheaded while the delusional mainstream media continues to pretend that none of these photos even exist!

Boston Marathon Bombings & Patriots’ Day

It looks like another tragedy of massive proportions has hit America once again.
The damage is done. These photos are some of the most gruesome ever recorded from any event, wartime or otherwise. Now the big question is: who will be blamed?
Examine the evidence and then decide. Readers and people who are concerned about the FACTS surrounding this sensational incident in Boston, MA yesterday, should be able to make up their own minds as to what they believe really happened, or more importantly - what didn’t happen at the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon. Smart readers already know what national talking points are set to follow this, what looks very much like a staged event. Hint: “Patriot’s Day’.
Patriot’s Day, historically on April 19th, also magically coincides with the Branch Davidiancompound slaughter at Waco, Texas, and the Oklahoma City bombing (both are arguably federal government cover-ups), so it doesn’t take a genius to guess that Eric Holder and the Department of Justice will be running point on all the talking points related to this crime scene, perhaps claiming that this week was some sort of ‘rallying cry’ for a radical right-wing anti-government group, or more likely – a lone gunman.
April 15 is also ‘Tax Day’, when federal income tax returns are due to be filed.
Looks like a perfectly scripted slam dunk for the DOJ, no?
The overseas terrorist narrative was hinted at initially, with Richard DesLauriers, special agent in charge of the FBI’s Boston Division stating:”We will go to the ends of the Earth to identify the subject or subjects who are responsible for this despicable crime — and we will do everything we can to bring them to justice,” but it does not appear obvious from the onset that ‘al Qaeda’ will be used as the principle actor for this terror event – as we would’ve already had reports of Korans, Arabs driving vans and Arab driving licenses found at the scene of the explosions, and an obscure Arabic website hosted from a proxy server out of India taking credit for the attack. You can also probably rule out both North Korea, or Iran as Washington culprits. Nor will the DOJ be inquiring whether or not this event was in any way a ‘inside job’.They will most likely, in lock step with the White House, instead be focusing 100% on the new heightened threat of ‘domestic terrorists’ in the United States.
Also, look out for this talking point in the coming days: “the culprits may be domestic terrorists as Americans who have converted to Islam”.
Also expect that anyone questioning the official government story of this incident will be accused of being ‘insensitive’, ‘un-American’, and of course, a wild ‘conspiracy theorist’. This very debate on CNN, MSNBC and other major outlets will at some point be pushing the issue of shutting down internet or social media commentators who are calling this ‘an inside job’.

We strongly believe that in the aftermath of this event, only one explanation, and only one narrative will be accepted in public discourse regarding the Boston Bombing, and this will be the official one. Expect the corporate media and the federal government to come down hard on any objections this time – an assertion which is based on the build-up to discrediting the alternative media after the Sandy Hook event.
Watch to see if the complete cycle of this latest horror drama has actually been calculated from start to finish…
So… it’s time again to ramp-up US domestic security and surveillance, give up more of your rights, and don’t even think about touching the budgets of the DHS, TSA or the US military.
As the author rightly says below – it’s not a crime to ask questions…

(…) NBC News counter-terrorism analyst Micheal Leiter believes authorities will respond as if this is a terror attack.
Time and Date.com describes the background behind Patriot’s Day:
Prior to 1775, the area that is now the eastern part of the United States mainly consisted of British colonies controlled by the United Kingdom. The American Revolutionary War, also known as the American War of Independence, was a major step in the independence of the United States. The first battles in this war were fought in the areas of Lexington and Concord, near Boston, Massachusetts, on April 19, 1775.
For this reason, the third Monday in April is symbolic for the emerging independence of the new country.
Paul Revere is among the patriots who are remembered on Patriot’s Day. The American silversmith is known for spreading the word of the Boston Tea Party to New York and Philadelphia, and for warning the Lexington Minutemen about the British invasion in 1775. The story of his “midnight” ride to Lexington to discuss action plans against the British has been poeticized.
An act to amend the Tennessee code regarding Patriot’s Day took effect in 2008. The state’s code now officially includes the holiday and mentions that its governor proclaims April 19 of each year as Patriot’s Day. This day is still not a public holiday in Tennessee. Patriots’ Day is also known as Patriot’s Day and Patriots Day.patriots day in Boston. There was also a Boston Red Sox game nearby. There were at least 3 explosives found near the Boston Marathon finish line.
At 4:48 pm (EDT) Police were looking for a yellow Penske truck, according to the Boston Police, Fire and EMS Live Audio Feed.

521587_357744291004449_828486565_n

There were also reports of several suspicious packages, as well as a“suspicious person” who was denied entrance into the Boston Marathon five minutes before the event began. The man is described as a black male, dressed in black with a black backpack. After he was denied entrance he put on his black hood and walked off with an I-Pod or a similar device.boston1
More reports came in about the Penske truck, and officers were advised to use caution if they found the truck. There is a report of a hit-and-run around 5:13 pm (EDT), but no connection is made to the bombing. Two more reports of suspicious packages are mentioned later on, and there are reports of a suspicious black backpack in a nearby CVS Pharmacy. Another camouflage backpack is left at an “ER”.
At 5:22 pm (EDT) someone asks if there’s an update on the Penske truck. “Be advised. We got a truck stopped in the middle of the common. We’re taking people out of it. We’re trying to check with them. Anything further on that Penske truck?”
“Negative,” dispatch replies. “Nothing further. Is this a Penske truck?”
Someone else comes on the line and asks about the location of the officer at the Boston Common. Another voice confirms the location, adding the officer is on the Charles Street side. We then hear that someone is in-route to the Boston Common on south Charles Street; presumably near Boylston Street.
Now I cannot be sure if the following truck mentioned is the same truck on the south-side of Charles Street, but here’s what is said. “That truck has been cleared by a bomb dog. Apparently it’s a delivery van or a pick-up van, uh, just mysteriously appeared. it has been secured. it is clean.” Watch the video and note the tone in the officer’s voice.

Soon after that, we hear a request for an ambulance needed at the Boston Common. “…can we have an ambulance… into the common. Possible heart attack.” Dispatch informs the officer an ambulance is already on its way.
There are many reports of suspicious packages throughout the day on the Boston Police, Fire, EMS live audio feed. Eventually it is believed that the suspect may be posing as a victim in a hospital. The young male suspect allegedly had a student-visa. I did catch one mention of a suspect detained on the live feed, but a lot of what’s being said is radio-lingo, so it would be nice to have some insight on the video below; I set my camera up to catch the live audio feed. Perhaps there’s something I missed. Check it out for yourself.

The Boston Globe tweeted police will have controlled explosion on the 600 block of Boylston Street.” This is after the first two explosions, when the police apparently detonated an explosive device they found nearby. There appear to be many explosive devices and suspicious packages found throughout the day in Boston.
University of Mobile’s Cross Country Coach Alastair Stevenson noticed something suspicious before the marathon that day. He told AL.com:
“At the starting line this morning, they had bomb sniffing dogs and the bomb squad out there,” he said. “They kept announcing to runners not to be alarmed, that they were running a training exercise.” He added, “I’ve run a lot of races like this one, but I never saw bomb dogs at the starting line of any running event. It led me to believe that something like (a bomb detonation) might have happened.”
BigPZone.com reported “Boston marathon runner Alastair Stevenson says that as the explosions erupted at the Boston Marathon this morning, he was told by police over the loud speaker that the events were ‘just a drill’.”
Boston marathon runner Alastair Stevenson says that as the explosions erupted at the Boston Marathon this morning, he was told by police over the loud speaker that the events were ‘just a drill’.

boston-marathon-drill-300x145
Stevenson, speaking with various news sources at the event, told one Alabama publication about what he witnessed during the race. While managing to finish the race before the explosions were in range of him or his bystander wife, Stevenson revealed some interesting information that makes sense of some Boston Globe tweets from earlier regarding bomb drills — which had been going on around the time of the actual explosions themselves and therefore may have confused police and emergency response.
In the article, Stevenson is recorded as saying:
They kept announcing to runners not to be alarmed, that they were running a training exercise.”
In fact, the eyewitness runner says that there were already a major presence of bomb sniffing dogs and even a bomb squad.
Runner Says ‘Bomb Sniffing Dogs, Bomb Squad Already On Scene Before Explosions’
Likely due to the perceived drill that was set to go on right  before  the actual explosion in the same area, the runner detailed how there was already a large presence of bomb sniffing dogs and even a bomb squad right nearby beforethe explosions hit. In fact, they had told the competitors and the fans that it was simply a drill — until they realized that real people were being injured and killed.
